Google ka chamatkar

The news will spread faster than this post of mine.

Google continues to surprise and delight it's users with it's new iGoogle feature. I found it 3 days back and I am a little too excited about this.

I open my browser and and on the tray I have, latest news, fitness tips, finance tips, quotes, new words for the day to help me in vocabulary building and what not. Some kind of ' Karlo Duniya Mutti me'. The various gadgets/ features can be moved anywhere in the window and made suit you style. And to give you a personal feel, you can select theme and the theme will change depending on if it s day or night at your place. The rest I think I should leave for the readers to experience on their own, hence better left unsaid.

I recently read a book by C.K.Prahlad, named ' Future Of Competetion'. The author talks about a UNIQUE PERSONALIZED EXPERIENCE, which means the kind of experience I will get by using the product, is going to be entirely different in terms of time, age, place, situation. So all the products I use, if they want to satisfy/delight me, should be tailored completely to my tastes and preferences. The book talks at length about achieving the same through various strategies...The value creation of any object has to be CENTERED around me.

Unfortunately i am not able to show how the igoogle setting looks on my browser. But I am sure, you ll be in for surprises :-)

Meanwhile I also read something about Linear growth. Infy/ Wipros or TCSs have this kind of growth where greater the number of people, greater are the revenues. So the profit the company makes is so inextricably connected to the headcount. But here we are talking about a company, which has less than 3000 employees and is a part of our daily lives. It has won hearts and will continue to.

Moorthy ji

I worked under him for 1 and a half years. I also got a chance to meet him in person and sit next to him for half n hour. This man has been a hero to all my collegues and my own self. All his statements/intentions have not been politically correct, but still he has many followers, many youngsters who want to walk on the same path as him. He is in demand to be leader of the country. He has been an Indian Ambassador and has given a new ray of hope, definitely to last. He plays a dual role of a capitalist and a socialist. A compassionate capitalism is what he proposes.

Watch him being interviewed on ibnlive here.

Wish u all a very happy Independence Day.

This year, we have reasons to smile. Although there are many areas which need to be worked on ( Equality, Infrastructure, Power etc), we have become the centre of planet earth. A very happening country which holds huge promises. Every single indian, whether or not he/she believes it, is curious to know what lays ahead. We have projected a positive picture on world arena and have created a model which works for us.

Chintu, Chooey and Chopsy - My only companions home

Chintu our male betta fish was all alone. I felt it needs a partner. A forced celibacy is not right :-)..

So we got a female red and black betta fish and dropped it in the same tank after confirming that she will not be killed and that they can actually mate. The female betta had to get the name starting with "ch". So Chooey seemed close.
Alas, it was disappointing till we went to sleep. No REACTION. What s wrong with Chintu ?

Morning I came running to see them. What we saw was a chase by Chintu. He s behind / madly behind Chooey. It is a small round bowl and they were casing each other fast. We left them to enjoy..

But.....Sadly Chooey is immobile now. Dont know what happened. She s alive, but not moving.

Meanwhile, Chopsey, another male betta fish is in a small bowl. I have kept the two bowls together. They know each other s presence, but if put together, they might kill each other. So just watching them react being in two seperate bowls.

The first photo has Chopsey and Chooey, on left and right respectively. In the next photo, the orange fish is our Chintu, the bad boy.
